Darjeeling
town is strung out over a ridge, just a valley away from Sikkim. It still attracts
traditional tourist for its well touted tea gardens and the old British Raj
residual charms. Until beginning of the 18th century the area was under Sikkimese
Raja. Then after the invasion of Gurkhas from Nepal, the British East India
Company intervened and acquired concession of the area from the Raja of Sikkim
to set up a sanitarium for its troops due to its favorable weather conditions.
Development was rapid with Tea Garden and trade with Tibet and India. Today,
almost 50 years after the British regime, Darjeeling still flourishes with tea
gardens and seasonal tourist and retains to this day the old charm and flavor
of that "never ending Victoria era…

Day 1 Arrival Kolkatta :
Met on arrival and transfer to the hotel for Overnight.
Day 2 Kolkatta :
Half Day sightseeing of the city, covering the Victoria Memorial.Overnight at
Hotel.
Day 3 Kolkatta - Bagdogra - Gangtok:
In
the morning departure transfer to the airport for flight to Bagdogra.Met on
arrival at the airport and transfer to Gangtok (5 Hrs).Half of the way to Gangtok
is in the low lying plains of the River Mahananda and Teesta in West Bengal.Overnight
at Hotel
Day 4 Gangtok :
Gangtok has been the capital of Sikkim for nearly a century now and is nestled
on both sides of the solitary ridge.Evening is free to explore the markets of
Gangtok.Overnight at Hotel
Day 5 Gangtok - Yoksum ( enroute Tashiding):
Early morning start for Yoksum enroute visit Tashiding Monastery, built in 1717
and located on a cliff between Rathong and Rangit River valleys.Overnight in
Yosum.
Day 6 Yoksum - Pemayangtse ( enroute Kechopari Lake) :
Yosum to Kechopari Lake is a 2hrs drive.Proceed further to Pemayangtse, the
most powerful monastery of Nyingma Pa sect in Sikkim.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 7 Pemayangtse :
After breakfast leave for sightseeing of Pemayangtse built in in 17th century,this
monsatery houses a number of ancient idols,look out for great view of Kangchendzonga
and its subsidiary mountains from entirely new angle (north direction) . Overnight
at Hotel.
Day
8 Pemayangtse - Kalimpong :
After breakfast leave for Kalimpong , a drive of 6 hrs Overnight at Hotel.
Day 9 Kalimpong - Darjeeling :
In the morning , visit the local arts and crafts Center that produces and sells
a wide variety of Handicrafts.In the afternoon leave for a 3hrs dirve to Darjeeling.
Evening at Leisure.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10 Darjeeling :
In the morning , after breakfast leave for sightseeing of Darjeeling known for
its Tea Gardens .Overnight at Hotel.
Day 11 Darjeeling - Bagdogra - Delhi :
Departure transfer to Bagdogra airport for moring flight to Delhi.rest of the
day is at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 12 Delhi :
Go for full day sightseeing of Delhi.whcih includes a visit to Jama Masjid,
Rashtrapati Bhwana, Raj Ghat and Qutab Minar. late in the evening departure
transfer to International airport for flight back home.

Sikkim Darjeeling Kalimpong Package

When the Maharaja of Sikkim gifted it to the British Governor General Bentinck

station. Now, almost two centuries later, The Queen of Hill Stations entices
thousands of visitors to its fairy tale environs and leaves no one discontented.
Once you leave the sweltering plains of West Bengal and start climbing up, you
will begin to see the lofty green promontories ahead of you which will give
you the feeling that you are entering an altogether different world. Brillant
red rhododendrons, charming white magnolias and majestic pines welcome you to
this paradise. And all the while, the hill slopes descend in gentle waves of
green tea bushes. All around you are sequestered vales and dales with sparkling
streams, rivulets and gushing gorges. An intoxicating experience to be cherished

up hills from Siliguri in the plains to the town of Darjeeling. While here,

Day 1 - Fly Kathmandu to Biratnagar or Bhadrapur :
Airport. On arrival at Biratnagar /Bharatpur Airport meet, assist and drive
to Darjeeling. (51/2hrs) Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 - Darjeeling (2100m) :
Visit Himalayan Zoo- Himalayan fauna in natural habitat, red panda, black bear,
yaks and the famous show leopard/ Himalayan Mountaineering institute and Museum
of Everest Expedition / Tibetan self help centre, training and sales Emporium
of Tibetan handicrafts.
Darjeeling-Pemayangste, (102km/4 1/2hrs) After lunch drive to Pemayansgte, West
Sikkim. Overnight at hotel or Lodge
Day
3 - Pemayangtse (2,085m) :
Visit the Pemayangtse Monastery. This is a premier monastery of Sikkim
built in the 17th century.
A short walk to Sangobhholing Monastery (02 km/45 mis) located on a hillock
above the hotel. On a clear day the view of the mountain range is breathtaking
. O/N at hotel.
Day 4 - Pemayangtse -Gantok (1,600mts/117 km 4 1/2hrs) :
Drive through semi tropical forests, cardamom plantation and small villages
to Gangtok, once the capital of the kingdom of Sikkm,
Free. O/N at hotel
Day 5 - Gangtok :
Full day sightseeing. Visit Enchey Monastery, Deer Park, Government institute
of cottage Industry, Dodrul Chorten, Research institute of Tebetolagy.
Visit Rumtek Monastery, situated 24 kms this magnificent monastery was
built by the late Gyalwa Karmapa, the head of the Kagyu sect. O/N at hotel
Day 6 - Gangtok-Kalimpong (588m/85 kms/ 2 1/2hrs) :
Drive along the Rangit river valley to Kalimpong
visit flower nurseries/local monastery/handicraft centre. O/N at hotel.
Day 7 - Kalimpong-Biratnagar/Bhadrapur (221kms/ 6 1/2 hrs) :
Early morning drive to Biratnagar/Bhaktapur airport and check in for your
flight to Kathmandu.
